We have had an amazing first quarter in 2010. In January our friends through us a fantastic “Stock the Bar” shower. The hosts of our party (Kristina and Shaun) and our friends here are more than we could ever ask for!
Over Chinese New Year we went to the Philippines. It was an adventure filled with layovers in Manila where we gambled the hours away and shopped for pearls. We also had a bit of a hiccup with our flights that lead to a seven hour car ride on four hours of dirt roads. Once we got to our holiday spot it was pure bliss and relaxation. The people of the Philippines were very kind, that along with killer massages, mangos that would make the gods smile and breathtaking scenery, I would say made for a stellar getaway.
Over the past several months we have been enjoying lots of different wines. The “in thing” here in Singapore seems to be wine tastings. With the prices of wines in Singapore being no lower than $20 USD it doesn’t check out what’s best on the market. A lot of the wines come from New Zealand or Australia.
We celebrated Carnival at the American Club with a great group of friends. We danced and ate the night away.
John and I ventured up to Hong Kong for the Rugby 7s which is the biggest rugby tournament of the year. We spent the weekend drinking Pims and celebrating the fun with friends. We also went to our favorite spa where for about $20 for a 1 ½ hour massage where they walk on your back! The best part is the place is open 24 hours.
We are still having an amazing time here in Singapore. Looking forward to visiting home soon!
